Veteran and Servicemember Legal Resource Database

Welcome to the Legal Resource Database! This interactive website directory was developed by the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Veterans and Servicemembers Affairs Task Force. It is intended to assist veterans and servicemembers with locating low-cost, reduced-fee, and free legal services, programs, and other resources in their geographic area.

How does this Database work? Legal services providers and other programs and resources that offer assistance to servicemembers and veterans, and that have opted to be listed in the Database, are displayed in the map below. To locate resources near you, select at least one State. To narrow your search, select the type of Legal Services that you need.

What if you find no legal services listed in your geographic area? We recommend visiting https://www.ncbj.org/page/OutreachProSeProBono, maintained by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges, for additional resources that may be able to help. Other providers include Unite Us, the American Bar Association which includes LAMP and the ABA Military Pro Bono Project, NVLSP, Stateside Legal, Military OneSource, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel Legal Help for Veterans page.

Do you know of a legal services provider that should be listed here? Encourage them to sign up at https://veterans.abi.org/register.
