Mary (Offutt) O’Hara is a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Jacob A. Brown at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. She brings a strong academic and professional background to her clerkship, having previously served as an Appellate Law Clerk at Brownstone, P.A., where she supported complex appellate matters. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Antonin Scalia Law School, after cultivating experience in appellate, real estate, telecommunications, and corporate law. During law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Law, Economics & Policy and gained additional experience at Magruder Cook Koutsouftikis & Palanzi, Hellman & Yates, Cooley LLP, and WhitbeckBennett, working on a range of litigation and transactional matters. A cum laude graduate of Hollins University with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration, she plans to pursue a career in bankruptcy, appellate, business litigation, real estate, medical malpractice, mass tort, or personal injury law following her bar admission.
