Sarah E. Tomlinson

Sarah E. Tomlinson is a litigation associate with Summers Compton Wells LLC in St. Louis, where she concentrates her practice on business and real estate litigation, contracts and employment matters. She also has experience with restructuring, bankruptcy and government compliance. Ms. Tomlinson previously was a trial attorney with the U.S. Trustee Program for Region 13 in St. Louis, Mo., which covers judicial districts in Missouri, Nebraska and Arkansas. Prior to her service with the USTP, she clerked for the now-retired Hon. Charles E. “Sketch” Rendlen, III, Chief Bankruptcy Judge Kathy A. Surratt-States and Hon. Bonnie L. Clair, all of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. Ms. Tomlinson has lectured on bankruptcy jurisdiction, procedure and ethics. She is a member of the ABI and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation’s Midwest Chapter, and she is a member of ABI’s 2020 class of “40 Under 40.” Ms. Tomlinson is a contributing author to the ABI Journal and The Wyoming Lawyer. She received her B.S. from Fayetteville State University and her J.D. with concentrations in business transactional law and taxation from Saint Louis University School of Law, where she served on the Journal of Health Law and Public Policy.
